From the time when a violent clash erupted in Abyei on March 11, and including other minor clashes in the Upper Nile State before that, the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) has decided to suspend its participation in the ongoing negotiations on the outstanding issues in the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) and on post referendum arrangements.
SPLM has accused the National Congress Party (NCP) for attacking the southerners and for waging genocide on South Sudanese citizens.
