Morsi and Mussolini (Al-Arabiya.net)
SourceA new Pharaoh makes the scene in Egypt. Peasants expected to experience a transitional period of civil unrest.
Those powers were acquired by the president in August after he canceled a constitutionaladdendum drafted in June by his predecessors, the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, to claim legislative authority following the dissolution of Parliament that same month.
But a new constitutional declaration issued on Thursday night actually harnesses more power for Morsy, which he says he is trying to avoid
But just as Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Mao, and Castro realised. Circumstance "beyond their control", prevented them from avoiding the "unfortunate objective realities" they faced. And a "temporary" use of absolute power, was the only way to save the nation from itself.
Egypt is just lucky they have such a man to seize the day, and lead Egypt down a glorious path.
Opposition protesters clashed with police in several Egyptian cities Friday after new Islamist President Mohammed Morsi awarded himself sweeping new powers.
Police fired tear gas in an attempt to disperse tens of thousands of protesters in Cairo’s Tahrir Square, the center of anti-regime protests that ousted longtime U.S.-backed leader Hosni Mubarak in 2011.
State TV also said Morsi opponents set fire to Muslim Brotherhood offices in the Suez Canal cities of Suez, Port Said and Ismailia.
Clashes also erupted between police and opposition protesters in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria, the southern city of Assiut and in Giza, the sister city of the capital. In Alexandria, Morsi opponents hurled stones at Brotherhood supporters outside a mosque and stormed a nearby office of the group.
There will need to be a good distraction. As a new Pharaoh disperses the unrest. Some other "top international story" to keep the world's media from closely examining the events and focusing too much attention on them. Less America, or the European Union, does not see to question the motivation of the new Islamist leader. Who stepped down from whatever roll he played in the resent acttivities of the Muslim Brother Hood. There is a desperate need to keep the flow of aid money flowing.
Obama pledged US$1 million in extra support to Egypt last year. This is separate from $1.3 billion in annual military funding that Washington already provides to Cairo.
The International Monetary Fund reached a deal with Egyptian authorities last week on a 22-month loan totaling some $4.8 billion to help the country overcome economic difficulties.
Revolutionary Islamic nations, are likely to see the Taps shutoff, as the populous of said donor nations will be unwilling to fund, or subsidise the feeding, fuel, education and Military budgets of nations so that it's domestic streams of revenue (pitiful as they are) can fund Jihad, at home and aboard.
In one of those strange events " coincidentally", a group of people (Muslims) in the Hamas controlled Gaza strip (possibly at the direction of Hamas) attempted to Invade Israel following a truce. Leading to headlines condemning Israel on how it went about repelling an ineffectual invasion.
What if they (300 unarmed? people) never really intended to invade Israel?
What if there were other motivations?
Create an international incident perhaps. Divert attention.
What if it was only intended to create a "glorious Martyr" for the cause?
It's not like there is a shortage of willing Martyrs in Gaza.
Israel’s military said roughly 300 Palestinians approached the security fence at several locations in southern Gaza, tried to damage it and cross into Israel
Cross into. Invade. While a cease fire is in effect invading is not a wise move
Witnesses told Ma'an a group of citizens were gathering to perform Friday prayer on their land near the border.
A relative of the dead man, who was at the scene, told Reuters that Qudaih had been trying to place a Hamas flag on the fence. He added that an Israeli soldier had fired into the air three times before Qdeih was hit in the head by a bullet.
The group behind this recent series events is Hamas (an arm of the Muslim Brotherhood).
Hamas fired the rockets in to Israel, provolking a response. Morsi as the Leader of The Egyptian government, supported by the Muslim Brother hood used the crisis created by Hamas (an arm of the Muslim Brotherhood) as a way to show his moderation and willingness no do business on the world stage. Only he can keep things from getting out of hand.America and the European Union have too much invested in him and the whole "Arab spring" to call it what it is. An attempted theocratic take over by a totalitarian revolutionary Islamist movement of Egypt. Brilliantly played. Who would have though the "Sons of al-Bana" would ever have had a shot?
From the Hamas Charter.

Al Masry Al Youm (as translated by Coptic Solidarity):
Dr. Muhammad Badi, supreme leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, said: "The Brotherhood is getting closer to achieving its greatest goal as envisioned by its founder, Imam Hassan al-Banna. This will be accomplished by establishing a righteous and fair ruling system [based on Islamic sharia], with all its institutions and associations, including a government evolving into a rightly guided caliphate and mastership of the world." Badi added in his weekly message yesterday [12/29/11]: "When the Brotherhood started its advocacy [da'wa], it tried to awaken the nation from its slumber and stagnation, to guide it back to its position and vocation. In his message at the sixth caucus, the Imam [Banna] defined two goals for the Brotherhood: a short term goal, the fruits of which are seen as soon as a person becomes a member of the Brotherhood; and a long term goal that requires utilizing events, waiting, making appropriate preparations and prior designs, and a comprehensive and total reform of all aspects of life." The leader of the Brotherhood continued: "The Imam [Banna] delineated transitionalgoals and detailed methods to achieve this greatest objective, starting by reforming the individual, followed by building the family, the society, the government, and then a rightly guided caliphate and finally mastership of the world" [emphasis added].
Ah yes, Mastership of the words. It's never really worked out well. But with the best of intention, mankind keeps trying.
"Here they are, the sons of Al-Bana, [Hamas founders Ahmad] Yassin and ['Abd Al-'Aziz] Al-Rantisi, who, in a short period of time, realized by means of jihad what the ummah failed to achieve in many years of negotiations and capitulation. [Those in favor of negotiations] claimed, and the ummah listened to them, that jihad is terrorism which must be fought and an evil which must but struggled against...
"The Hamas lions, from the ['Izz Al-Din] Al-Qassam [Brigades] and [Islamic] Jihad in Palestine... demonstrated their readiness for martyrdom for the sake of Allah and did not forgo [sacrificing] their lives [for the sake of] the homeland...
"In [our] intoxicated happiness [at the release of the prisoners], we must not overlook those who first brought about this happiness, those martyrdom-seekers who subdued the Zionists, shamed their intelligence apparatuses, humiliated them, and insisted on sacrificing their lives for the success of their cause and the liberation of their homeland. We must recall the words of these heroes:
"The martyr Hatem Talal Sha'ban said in his will: 'I chose this path out of my belief that it is the only path to liberating our land. The Muslim ummahmust follow the path of jihad for the sake of Allah and forget the path of negotiations and bartering over land'...
"The martyr Darin Abu 'Aisha said: 'The role of the Palestinian woman is no less significant than that of our brothers, the mujahideen. My self-sacrifice for the sake of Allah is but a small [matter]. It comes to avenge the [desecration] of the sanctity of our religion and mosques, [including] Al-Aqsa.'
"Umm Nidal, mother of the martyrs Muhammad, Nidal, and Yasser Farhat, said to her son Muhammad, upon bidding him a tearful farewell before he blew himself up in battle with the Zionists: 'Youmust believe that my tears are those of a mother marrying off her son to the black-eyed [virgins of Paradise]. Obey God, wage jihad, and stand firm until you meet with God.' This great woman then turned to the women of the ummah, saying: 'Whoever loves Allah and the homeland will sacrifice her son for their sake. The mother who loves her son wishes him success in this world and the next, urges him to jihad and martyrdom, swallows her pain... and prevents the enemies of our people from gloating'
Reichstag fire, burning of the Reichstag (parliament) building in Berlin, on the night of Feb. 27, 1933, a key event in the establishment of the Nazi dictatorship and widely believed to have been contrived by the newly formed Nazi government itself to turn public opinion against its opponents and to assume emergency powers.
